    Nigeria Records 2 Deaths, 146 New COVID-19 Infections


    Nigeria on Thursday day recorded 146 new COVID-19 infections, while two patients died of coronavirus-related complications in the past 24 hours in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    With the new infections, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), on its verified website disclosed that the tally of infected people in country now 65,839.

    According to the health agency, 116 persons were discharged from isolation centers across the country after tested negative to the virus.

    Lagos, the epicentre of the disease in the country, led with 62 new infections, followed by the FCT with 23 and Kaduna with 21

    Other states with new infections are: Ogun-12, Rivers -12, Ondo-5, Oyo-3, Plateau-3, Bauchi-2, Katsina-2 and Kano-1.

    Nigeria has so far tested 724,794 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.

    On the 19th of November 2020, 146 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

    Till date, 65,839 cases have been confirmed, 61,573 cases have been discharged and 1,165 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
