    Nigeria Records 4 More Deaths, 94 New Infections


    With four new patients confirmed dead to the virus in Nigeria and the virus infecting another 94 people in country, the death toll reached 1,158 and nationwide infections rose to 64,184, new data by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC showed on Monday.

    Also, data obtained from the centre’s website shows that 159 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours across the country. The total number people recovered and discharged from the virus now 60,069.

    The public health agency in a tweet said the new cases were reported in 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    Nigeria has so far tested 687,952 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.

    Lagos state, the the epicentre of COVID-19 in Nigeria recorded 50 new infections bringing the total number of the infections in the state to 21,960.

    Other states with new cases include: FCT-24,
    Kwara-9, Edo-4, Kaduna-3, Ondo-2 and Plateau-2.

    According to the health agency on the 9th of November 2020, 94 new confirmed cases and 4 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
    Till date, 64,184 cases have been confirmed, 60,069 cases have been discharged and 1,158 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
