The data obtained from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed that the nation recorded a total of 1,177 deaths, 67,960 confirmed infections, and discharged 63,839 patients across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The figure reported by the NCDC in its latest update on the disease on Wednesday shows that one more person infected with COVID-19 died and 122 new COVID-19 infections were recorded, while 409 new patient have been successfully treated and discharged in 11 states.
The health agency through its verified Twitter account, said, Kaduna recorded the highest number of cases on Wednesday with 37 infections, followed by Lagos with 29 infections, Plateau had 25, Ekiti reported 9 and River had 5 infections.
Other states with new infections are Ogun-5, Edo-4, Kwara-4, Bayelsa-2, Bauchi-1 and Kano-1.
