The health agency noted that 180 coronavirus patients have recovered and discharged, while six fatality were recorded.
According to the breakdown, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory leads the chart recorded 79 infections, while Lagos occupied the second spot with 59 infections, Kaduna, Kastina and Nasarawa confirmed 56, 37 and 30 respectively.
Other states with new cases include Kano-25, Edo-18, Gombe-14, Kebbi-12, Akwa Ibom-7, Rivers-7, Sokoto-7, Abia-3, Ogun-1 and Cross River -1.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 893,590 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.
According to the NCDC, as of December 21st, 2020, 356 new confirmed cases and 6 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
The public health agency noted that till date, 78,790 cases have been confirmed, 68,483 cases have been discharged and 1,227 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
