The latest update is slightly higher than the 356 cases recorded on Monday, December 21st and lower than the 501 infections reported found Sunday December 20.
In a tweet via its official handle, NCDC said 144 new cases were identified in Lagos, 83 in Plateau, 48 in Kaduna, 36 in Adamawa and 22 in Rivers.
While Oyo reported 16 cases, Kebbi had 10, Nasarawa and Sokoto reported 7 cases each. Also 5 cases each were confirmed in FCT and Kano, 4 cases in Edo and Jigawa had 3 cases.
Ogun and Akwa Ibom state had 2 cases each and Niger, Bauchi and Zamfara reported 1 case each.
NCDC added that the death of COVID-19 related complications has increased by 10, while 323 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice from the disease on Monday.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 932,327 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.
In summary, on the 28th of December 2020, 397 new confirmed cases and 10 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
Till date, 84,811 cases have been confirmed, 71,357 cases have been discharged and 1,264 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
