    Nigeria Records 324 New COVID-19 Infections

    With no new patient confirmed dead to the virus in Nigeria and the virus infecting another 324 people in country, the death toll stands at 1,179 and nationwide infections rose to 68,627, new data by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC showed on Monday.

    Also, data obtained from the centre’s website shows that 176 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours across the country. The total number people recovered and discharged from the virus now 64,467.

    The public health agency in a tweet said the new cases were reported in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    Nigeria has so far tested 791,539 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.

    Lagos state, the the epicentre of COVID-19 in Nigeria recorded 115 new infections bringing the total number of the infections in the state to 23,660.

    Other states with new cases include: FCT-110 Kaduna-57, Taraba-9, Akwa Ibom-8, Plateau-6, Bauchi-4, Ekiti-4, Kano-4, Katsina-4 and Rivers-3

    According to the health agency on the 4th of December 2020, 324 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.

    Till date, 68,627 cases have been confirmed, 64,467 cases have been discharged and 1,179 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
