With the new update the health agency, NCDC revealed that
till date, a total of 113,305 cases have
been confirmed, 91,200 cases discharged and 1,464 deaths have been recorded in
36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
NCDC added tbat its discharges today include 702 community recoveries in Lagos State, 157 in FCT and 143 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
Data obtained from NCDC official Twitter handle shows that
the new cases were reported in 21 states
and the Federal Capital Territory.
Lagos had the highest number of new cases with 551 new
infections on Tuesday.
Others states with new cases are: FCT-209, Oyo-83, Plateau-65,
Kaduna-64, Enugu-61, Rivers-44, Ondo-39, Benue-37, Akwa Ibom-31, Kano-19, Delta-18,
Gombe-18, Ogun-16, Edo-15, Kebbi-10, Ebonyi-9, Jigawa-4, Osun-3, Zamfara-3, Borno-1
and Nasarawa-1
NCDC disclosed that it had conducted about 1,191,866 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced in the country.
