The death toll from the COVID-19 in Nigeria reached 1,813 after 10 new fatalities were added,
while the number of patients who have recovered and discharged increased from 126,417 to 127,500.
The discharges today include community recoveries in Lagos (535), Kaduna (73) and Imo State (69), managed in line with guidelines.
Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this via
its official website.
Data released by the health agency on website shows that Lagos took the lead with 167 cases, while FCT, Ogun and Kano reported 116, 45 and 44 cases respectively.
Akwa Ibom, the highest oil- and gas-producing state in the
country recorded 35 cases of the virus, while Edo had 34, Rivers confirmed 27, Kaduna
and Osun reported 23 cases each
Also 22 cases each were found in Kwara and Taraba, Oyo had
20, Ondo-19, Plateau-14, Abia and Imo had 11 cases each.
Nasarawa confirmed 7 cases, Niger had 6, Bayelsa and Delta recorded
5 cases each, Enugu-3, Ekiti-2, and Jigawa 1.
According to the health agency, till date, 150,908 cases
have been confirmed, 127,500 cases have been discharged and 1,813 deaths have
been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Adding that a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC),
activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities
