With the new confirmed cases on Friday, a total of 132,544 COVID-19 infections have now been recorded
across the country.
A further 11 people have died in the country within 24 hours
of a positive COVID-19 test. While the number of people who have recuperated from the
disease increased by 845.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this
via its official twitter page.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nigeria stands at 20,608.
According to the breakdown of new cases, Lagos topped the
list with 169 infections, followed by Taraba, Ogun and Cross River with 92, 65 and
57.
Other states with new COVID-19 infections are FCT-38, Rivers-28, Kwara-26, Akwa Ibom-25,
Osun-21, Plateau-12, Borno-9, Gombe-9, Abia-8, Ebonyi-8, Ekiti-7, Kano-7,
Delta-6, Oyo-6, Bauchi-3, Nasarawa-3 and Sokoto-1.
NCDC added that the discharges on Friday 204 community
recoveries in Lagos State, 124 in Kwara State, 121 in Osun State and 73 in
Rivers State managed in line with guidelines.
Data from Taraba State recorded over the last two days.
According to the NCDC, till date, 155,076 cases have been
confirmed, 132,544 cases have been discharged and 1,902 deaths have been
recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
