Nigeria's COVID-19 cases have increased by 135 in the last 24 hours.
According to the latest report from Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, the nation's cumulative COVID-19 cases rose to 161,409.
The most populous country in Africa and the seventh most
populous country in the world, Nigeria's recoveries from COVID-19 are now outpacing new
reported cases of the virus.
Total number of recovered cases in the nation is over 146,000.
With 426 patients discharged in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries have
jumped to 146,890.
Active cases in Nigeria now stand at 12,492.
NCDC stated that the new COVID-19 infections were recorded
in 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The breakdown shows that, Lagos topped the list with 41
infections, followed by Imo with 20, Ogun with 14 and FCT with 10 cases.
Other states affected on Thursday include Kebbi-11, Rivers-10, Akwa Ibom-8, Plateau-4, Ebonyi-3, Kaduna-3, Kano-3, Osun-3, Oyo-2, Ekiti-1, Gombe-1 and Nasarawa-1.
