    COVID-19: Nigeria Reports 4 Deaths, 205 New Infections

    Nigeria has recorded 205 new cases of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19 in 14 states and Federal Capital Territory,  according to the data released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official twitter handle.

    This is the seventh day where daily infections have stayed below the 400 mark this week.

    Health officials added that 656 people were discharged, while 4 person was confirmed to have died of COVID-19 complications on Saturday.

    Todays discharged include 439 community recoveries in FCT and 96 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines, NCDC said.

    According to the breakdown of new cases, Ondo topped the list with 33 infections, followed by Lagos with 25, FCT with 22 and Bauchi with 21 cases.

    Other states affected with the new virus on Saturday include Akwa Ibom-15, Kaduna-14, Katsina-13, Ogun-13, Rivers-11, Edo-8, Ekiti-4, Imo-4, Kano-3, Nasarawa-2 and Niger-2.

    With the new confirmed cases on Saturday, a total of 160,537 COVID-19 infections have now been recorded across the country. While 144,714 Nigerian have recovered from the disease and discharged, as the death toll from the virus stands at 2,013.
