One Hundred and Twenty-One more coronavirus cases were
reported Tuesday, in 13 states and Federal Capital Territory.
The data on the health authorities COVID-19 dashboard also
revealed that 1,066 patients had recovered from the infections and were
discharged from hospitals.
While 7 succumbed to the pandemic on Tuesday, leaving 9,174 active cases.
Nigeria has registered a total of 162,762 cases since the
pandemic started, while the official death toll has risen to 2,056. And the
total cumulative recoveries stand at 151,532, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said while giving the daily
report on its official Twitter handle.
The health authorities noted that its discharges today include 977 community recoveries in FCT and 57 in Imo State managed in line with guidelines.
And today’s deaths includes a backlog of data from FCT.
Of the new cases, 40 were confirmed in Lagos, 15 in FCT, 12
in Kastina and 11 in Kaduna.
Imo, Kebbi and Nasarawa reported 8 cases each, Delta reported 7, Edo, Osun and Rivers confirmed 3 cases each. Ekiti, Jigawa and Kano recorded 1 case each.
