Eight COVID-19 related deaths were recorded on Tuesday. After
fully recovered and tested negative to coronavirus, 647 patients were
discharged.
The total number of people who have contracted the virus in
Nigeria has now risen to 156,496, out of which 134,551 people have recovered
and have been discharged with the deaths toll stand at 1,923.
While the number of active cases further dropped and now
stands at 19,613.
The breakdown of the new cases state-by-state as follows: Lagos state, recorded the highest number of confirmed cases with 153 new infection taking the total number of cases in the state to 56,001.
Enugu-75, Rivers-50, FCT-40, Kaduna-18, Ebonyi-17, Plateau-17, Edo-17, Borno-16, Oyo-12, Kano-11, Abia-10, Cross River-10, Taraba-9, Nasarawa-7, Bauchi-4, Bayelsa-3, Delta-3, Ekiti-2, Niger-2, Ogun-2 and Akwa Ibom-1.
