Earth Day 2021: Google Doodle Encourages Everyone to Plant Trees

On the occasion of Earth Day 2021, Google has a special Doodle encouraging everyone to plant trees. The Google Doodle features an illustration of trees, and planting them. The Google logo can also be seen on top adorned with small leaves over each letter.

For the Earth Day Google Doodle, it has included a YouTube video that plays just as you click anywhere on the Doodle. The video shows a little girl planting a tree, and how it eventually grows as she also ages. It follows with a little boy also planting a tree and growing with it. The video continues with a chain of people growing trees which eventually leads to a number of trees. The message Google is trying to spread is “how everyone can plant the seed to a brighter future-one sapling at a time!”

“The planet we call home continues to nurture life and inspire wonder. Our environment works hard to sustain us, which calls for us to return the favor. Today’s video Doodle shows a variety of trees being planted within natural habitats, one of the many ways we can do our part to keep our Earth healthy for future generations,” Google said.

It’s not restricted to only planting trees though. Any act to restore the Earth is encouraged by Google. Other companies like Facebook have also announced their activities for Earth Day 2021. Facebook is hosting a livestream to spread awareness about climate change. WhatsApp has also launched a sticker pack, and wallpapers on the occasion of Earth Day 2021.
