NCDC Announces 81 New COVID-19 Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC reported 81 new coronavirus infections and no additional coronavirus-related fatalities Wednesday.

New infections were found in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The number brings the tally of confirmed deaths to 2,063 and infections to 164,993 after the health authorities conducted 1,912,628 tests since Feb of 2020.

As of today, Nigeria has 7,909 active cases of CCOVID-19.

While 9 people were reported to have recovered on Wednesday, the overall number stands at 155,021, according to the NCDC reports.

The breakdown of the newly recorded cases as follows Lagos-26, Enugu-13, Ogun-8, Rivers-6, Kano-6, Kaduna-5, Plateau-5 Akwa Ibom-4, Delta-3, FCT-3 and Edo-2.
