Nigeria reported 80 new cases of COVID-19 and no death
relating to the disease caused by coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The total number of people who have succumbed to the virus remained 2,061, as per the report released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, the country's caseload increased to 164,080.
At least a total of 154,285 people have recovered from the
deadly respiratory illness, representing a recovery rate of 94 percent, as the
number of recoveries on Thursday increased by 15.
Active cases in Nigeria now stand at 7,734 up from the
previous day when it was at 7,669.
Meanwhile, the new cases were reported across 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory which include 29 cases in Lagos,
19 in Rivers and 6 in Zamfara.
Also Akwa Ibom, Edo, Osun and Plateau reported 4 cases each,
Ogun and Kano reported 3 cases each, Nasarawa had 2, FCT and Oyo had 1 case each.
