In its latest update, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC said those who
have beaten the illness account for over 94.1 percent of the Nigeria’s total
case tally which has reached 163,440.
Active cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria have further dropped by 48 and are now stands at 7,652.
The health agency also reported 110 new confirmed cases and zero COVID-19 related deaths in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory in the last 24 hours.
A total of 2,058 people have died of the virus in the
country, while 153,788 people recovered from COVID-19 since the outbreak began
last year.
According to the breakdown
released by NCDC, Lagos and Yobe took the lead with 24 new infections each,
followed by FCT with 16, Bayelsa, Rivers
and Kaduna with 10 cases each and Nasarawa with 5 cases.
Akwa Ibom also recorded 4 cases, Bauchi and recorded Edo 3 cases each and
Plateau with 1 case.
