    Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Crosses 165,000 with 62 New Infections Thursday

    Nigeria’s case count increased by 62 over a period of 24 hours in 9 states and Federal Capital Territory, health authorities said in a daily update.

    Today's report is down slightly from the 81 cases reported on Wednesday.

    With 62 fresh COVID-19 cases, the tally of infections in the country reached 165,055, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC.

    Along with that, the country reported no coronavirus-related fatalities, taking the death toll to 2,063.

    The number of recovered COVID-19 patients in Nigeria is now 155,041, including 20 people who have recovered and discharged on Thursday.

    According to Thursday’s report, 38 cases were recorded in Lagos, 6 cases each in Kaduna and Ondo and 3 in Ogun state .

    Akwa Ibom, FCT and Rivers reported 2 cases each, Edo, Kano and Oyo confirmed 1 case each.
