    COVID-19: Nigeria Records 53 New Infections, 13 Recoveries

    Today, May 13, Nigeria reported 53 new cases of COVID-19 in 3 states with 13 recoveries within 24 hours.

    There are 36 cases of the newly recorded virus in Lagos state 14 in Rivers state and 3 in Akwa-Ibom, according to the breakdown released by the health authorities.

    As of today, Nigeria’s has 7,159 active cases of COVID-19, up from 7,119 a days ago.

    The latest reports by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC shows that, 156,387 cases of COVID-19 in the country are now considered resolved, with the total number of cases reported rose to 165,612. since the beginning of the pandemic.

    No new deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. Nigeria’s virus-related death toll now stands at 2,066.
