The new cases reported today, shows no increase or decrease from the 47 confirmed one day
earlier.
One more virus-related death were confirmed in Nigeria today.
Meanwhile, 165,559 Nigeria residents were reported to have
recovered from COVID-19, which is about 94.5 per cent of known cases. Resolved
cases increased by 16 on Wednesday.
The number of active, lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria
continues to trend downward below 10,000 mark. Ccurrently, Nigeria’s active
caseload is now 7,119 up from 7,092 a days ago.
According to data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease
Control NCDC, COVID-19 infections tally in Nigeria reached 165,559 on Wednesday,
while the death toll from the virus stands at 2,066 and the number of recovered
COVID-19 patients is now 156,374 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The public health authorities in a tweet said the new cases
were reported in 4 states.
The breakdown as follows Lagos and Rivers recorded the
highest number of COVID-19 infections with 28 and 14 cases respectively. While Akwa-Ibom
and Ekiti reported 1 case each.
