The public health authorities reported 2 new deaths related
to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
On the brighter side, Nigeria’s recovery rate has increased. In the last 24 hours, officials said, 32 people recovered from the disease.
The Nigeria health authorities on Wednesday reported totals
of 165,273 virus cases, 155,403 cases have been discharged and 2,065 deaths as
a result of COVID-19 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The total number of active cases reduced by 18, now stands at 7,807.
The newly recorded COVID-19 cases were reported across 6
states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The breakdown released by NCDC as follows Taraba-18, FCT-9, Rivers-9, Lagos-7, Akwa Ibom-6, Kano-2 and Kaduna-1.
NCDC stated that today's report includes data from Taraba State recorded between 22nd April and 4th May, 2021.
