Zero death related to coronavirus and 39 new infections recorded in the past 24
hours in Nigeria have pushed the nationwide death toll to 2,065 and the number
of COVID-19 cases to 165,340 since the first cases of the infections was reported last year.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said in a
daily update.
The health authourities added that 30 patients recovered and
were discharged on Friday, this brought the country total recoveries to 155,454.
The total active coronavirus cases in the country now 7,823.
According to the data released by the health authourities
via its verified Twitter handle, the newly recorded COVID-19 cases were
reported across 7 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Lagos topped the list with 23 infections, followed by FCT, Kano and Zamfara with 4 cases each, Akwa Ibom, Gombe, Nasarawa and Plateau reported 1 case each.
