Meanwhile, Nigeria Thursday reported another 49 cases of
COVID-19 and no new deaths linked to the illness in the past 24 hours.
The newly recorded infections raised the country’s tally of
confirmed COVID-19 cases to 165,901 and
the death toll from the virus reached 2,067.
Another 4 infections were marked resolved, bringing the
active caseload throughout
The additional recoveries reported today pushed the official
number of recoveries and discharges to 156,459.
The new cases were
reported across 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Of the new cases confirmed today, 21 are in Lagos, 16 are in
Rivers and 5 are in FCT.
Kano, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi and Ekiti reported 3, 2, 1 and 1 respectively.
