The latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC shows that 11 people tested positive for COVID-19, no death were recorded from the virus in 2 states and the Federal Capital Territory in past 24 hours

The newly recorded infections raised the country’s tally of confirmed cases to 166,767, according to NCDC.

According to the daily report, Lagos, FCT and Kano recorded 9,1 and 1 cases of COVID-19 respectively.

The health authorities added that 102 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice from the disease.

The report by the NCDC,  revealed that till date, 166,767 cases have been confirmed, 163,096 cases have been discharged and 2,117 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

As of Sunday, Nigeria has 1,554 active cases of COVID-19, down from the previous day when it was at  1,645.

NCDC stated that, today’s report includes 100 community recoveries from Enugu state managed in line with guidelines.

Ekiti, Enugu, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, and Sokoto among the ten states that reported zero cases in the past 24 hours.
