    Nigeria: 17 People Contracts COVID-19 in 3 States

    With the novel coronavirus COVID-19 infecting another 17 people in Nigeria, the nationwide infections rose to 167,095, new data by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC showed on Tuesday .

    Also added that 14 patients have been discharged after testing negative to the disease, with no coronavirus related death reported.

    According to the data, the cumulative number of recoveries in the country is now 163,483, while the death toll from the virus stands at 2,117.

    The public health authorities said that the new cases were reported in 3 states.

    A breakdown of cases by state as follows Lagos-13, Rivers-3 and Gombe-1.

    NCDC via it official Facebook page noted that today's report includes 0 cases from Plateau, Nasarawa, Cross River, Imo, Kano, Bauchi, Kaduna, Sokoto, Oyo, Ondo and Ekiti States
