    Nigeria: Lagos, Others Reports 35 Cases of COVID-19 Saturday

    Nigeria reported 35 new cases of COVID-19 and no new death from the disease in the past 24 hours.

    Here is the breakdown of the new cases recorded in 4 states as released by the health officials.

    Lagos, again topped the daily coronavirus infection chart with 30 out of the 35 new cases recorded Saturday.

    Aside from Lagos, 3 other states also contributed to Saturday’s figures.

    Three cases of the virus infections were recorded in Kwara, one case each in Gombe and Kano.

    While 9 other states which include Plateau, FCT, Imo, Rivers, Ekiti, Oyo, Ogun, Sokoto and Kaduna reported no case of COVID-19 in past 24 hours.

    The health officials also announced the discharge of 9 patients from hospital across the country after tested negative to coronavirus.

    With the latest update by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the tally of infected people in the country rose to 167,465, out of which 163,946 people have recovered and have been discharged and 2,119 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic.
