    Nigeria: 1 Dead, 29 Others Tests Positive to COVID-19 on Friday

    Nigeria reported 29 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, as well as recoveries and death, as the active number of cases in the nation rises from 1,350 to 1,374.

    Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC disclosed this late Friday.

    The newly recorded COVID-19 cases were reported across seven states

    Sixteen of Friday's new cases were identified in Lagos, three cases each in Rivers and Kaduna, two cases each in Kwara, Delta and Ondo and one case in Ogun.

    Meanwhile, FCT, Plateau, Nasarawa, Anambra, Gombe, Imo, Ekiti, Oyo, and Sokoto states reported zero cases in the past 24 hours.

    The health authorities further stated that one COVID-19 patient died within 24 hours. While the  number of people who have recuperated from the disease increased by four.

    The new update brings the country’s total case to 167,430, recoveries and discharged stand at 163,937, while the new fatality pushed Nigeria’s death toll to 2,119  in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
