    COVID-19: Nigeria Records 2 Deaths, 238 Fresh Cases in 5 States, FTC

    According to Wednesday’s report, Nigeria logged 238 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 5 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    Cases reported today, shows an increase from the 206 confirmed one day earlier.

    Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC disclosed this via its official website. 

    As of today, Nigeria’s active cases of COVID-19 increased by 227. Currently, the nation’s active caseload is now 3,240 up from 3,013 a days ago.

    The new cases include 181 in Lagos,  45 in Akwa Ibom, 8 in Oyo and 2 in Ogun. Ekiti and FCT reported 1 case each.

    While 0 cases from Rivers, Osun, Ondo, Sokoto, Kaduna, Kano, and Nasarawa States.

    Health officials in the country also confirmed that 2 patient died in past 24 hours, However, 8 more patients have recovered after falling ilill.

    With the latest update, COVID-19 infections tally in Nigeria rose to 170,122, while the death toll from the virus stands at 2,130 and the number of recovered COVID-19 patients is now 164,741 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory amidst the third wave.
