But here’s a new render by Shashank Das at SDESYN that
showcases a more affordable SUV, the Kia Seltos, in a new luxury-oriented
Diamond Edition. Inspired by the Mercedes-Maybach series of SUVs, it’s sleek,
all-white and ready to roll right up to the red carpet.
Listing the details that the designer has brought in this
diamond edition Kia Seltos apart from the obvious optic white custom body
colour for the front facia the car gets a new grille mesh design with heavy use
of chrome, the turn indicator below the headlamps have also been removed which
makes the headlights look slimmer are gives the car more premium feel, the skid
plate has also been modified to look as in the Maybach GLS 600, apart from that
the car reattains all its stock features for the front.
The sides have also been tweaked so slightly with bigger 22-inch Maybach styled 20 spoke alloy wheels, chromed finished door handles and a complete optic white makeover. The roof rails have been removed to give the car a Maybach finish. As for the rear noting much has been changed apart from the new wrapped around taillights and a chrome-plated rear skid plate.
The main attraction on the side profile is a set of
humongous multi-spoke alloy wheels fully laced in chrome. They are shod with
low-profile tyres with a wide cross-section. In the real world, the thin
sidewalls on these tyres would translate to a reduction of ride comfort.
However, that could be countered to some extent by the air suspension offered
in the GLS Maybach. However, such kits are extremely expensive in the
aftermarket.
Nothing can be said about the interior as the designer
doesn’t reveal anything about it as well as for the mechanical features that
still remains a mystery in the viewer’s mind.
