    Nigeria Reports 6 Deaths, 357 New COVID-19 Cases

    The total number of people who have contracted COVID-19 in Nigeria have risen to 183,444 after Nigeria Centre  for Disease Control NCDC has announced 357 new COVID-19 cases, a notable decline from the trend of the past days in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    Today’s case count is lower than Monday’s report which saw 584 new infections reported.

    According to the health officials, 6 deaths linked to the virus were recorded overnight with which the country's COVID-19 death toll rose to 2,229.

    A total of 167,459 COVID-19 patients were reported to have recovered from COVID-19 and discharged, as resolved cases increased by 149 in the past 24 hours.

    Active cases in the nation rises to 13,736, an increase of 182.

    According to Tuesday’s report, 170 cases were recorded in Rivers, 38 in Ondo, 34 in Gombe, 20 cases each in Ogun and Ekiti, 18 in FCT, 16 in Anambra,  13 in Oyo, 10 in Kwara, 6 cases each Imo, Bayelsa and Edo.

    Today's report includes 0 cases from Kano, Nasarawa and Plateau States.

    NCDC noted that the report does not include data from Lagos State.

    The health agency, however, did not state any reason records from Lagos were not received.
