Richlife Africa Reiterates Commitment to Hunger Fight

...to Feed 20,000 Nigerian Youths

As part of its effort to eradicate hunger from Nigeria, Richlife Africa project is targeting to feed twenty thousand Nigerian youths for one year through its food programme tagged Richlife Africa food project.

According to the company, the project is designed to ensure availability of meal to 20,000 youths within the ages of 20 and 40 both employed and unemployed who are deserving of it on a daily basis.

Chief Executive Officer, Richlife Africa Project, Mr. Modestus Bernard said the project is estimated to cost more than N14 billion, will be funded from the proceeds of the ongoing online reality show, Students Against Hunger (SAH) and Drop That Gun (DTG)- a project designed to discourage crime and violence in Nigeria and embrace peace.

“One of the unfortunate things about hunger is that, it is no respecter of persons. Irrespective of one’s position when one is hungry, he or she has to feed. And, those who may not have such means becomes vulnerable. That is why Richlife Africa is trying to bridge the hunger gap in Nigeria so that the nation has a crime free or reduced society,” says Mr. Bernard.

Richlife Africa says, the food project is the first of the seven-year series aimed at feeding  Nigerian youths who do not have the capacity to feed themselves. In the first edition which will kick off immediately after the conclusion of the SAH project, after the required 100,000,000 votes have been realized, 20,000 Nigerian youths across the nation will be provided with two meals a day for one year through participating Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and eateries.

Narrating how the feeding project will be achieved, Mr. Modestus Bernard said a debit card will be issued to each Nigerian youth who applied for the food programme through the company's website: www.richlifeafrica.ng

According to him, the card will come with two meals a day plan of N1000 naira per meal for one year.

"Twenty thousand Nigerians will have one of such cards and will be entitled to eat at any of the participating restaurants for one year. The maximum consumption per day is N2,000 and they are allowed to either eat two times a day or at a sitting," Modestus said.

The Chief Executive said the company will partner with different restaurants and QSRs who are interested to ensure a smooth running of the project. Richlife Africa projects, promoters  of the food project is the organiser of the ongoing education based online reality show, Students Against Hunger (SAH).

The show which is targeted at students in the tertiary institutions and members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), both serving and immediate past, is expected to create millionaires out of more than 200 Nigerian students. The star winner will win the ultimate cash prize of N100 million.
