As of today, the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in Nigeria is 199,151 with 365 new cases reported in 7 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The total number of recoveries now stand at 186,418, including 1,343 COVID-19 patients who fight off the disease and got discharged on Sunday, according to an update released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC via its Facebook page.

The health officials also disclosed that, eight patients have succumbed to the novel coronavirus which raised the total number of deaths recorded in Nigeria to 2,598.

Nigeria currently has 10,135 active cases of COVID-19, Active cases further increased by 97  on Sunday.

Two hundred and nine of the new cases reported on Sunday are in Lagos, eighty-eight in Ondo, thirty-one in FCT and sixteen in Rivers.

Ebonyi reported eleven cases, Kaduna had six, Ekiti had three and Plateau reported one case.

NCDC noted that today's report includes 3 deaths and 12  discharged cases from Lagos on 11th September 2021

While Benue, Kano, Nasarawa, Osun and Sokoto states reported zero cases on Sunday.
