Nigeria's COVID-19 tally had moved up to 203,514 on September 23, after the health officials confirmed additional 433 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
According to the data
released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, the new cases were
identified in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The top five states
which have registered maximum COVID-19 cases on Thursday are FCT, Lagos, Anambra,
Rivers and Plateau with 191, 79, 63, 27 and 13 cases respectively.
Other states with their
cases as follows, Oyo-10, Delta-9, Ondo-8, Edo-7, Gombe-6, Akwa Ibom-5, Borno-5,
Ekiti-4, Bayelsa-2, Zamfara-2, Enugu-1 and Kano-1
Today's report
includes 0 cases report from Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun and Sokoto States, according
to NCDC data.
An increase of 90 cases
has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. Taking
the total tally of active cases to 8,896.
Two more people
succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, mounting to 2,668 till date, NCDC
COVID-19 dashboard shows.
The data further shows
that 341 more patients have recovered from the virus, this now brings total
recoveries in the country to 191,942 since the beginning of the outbreak.
