The country also saw 10
deaths. With this rise, the death toll in the country reached 2,850 and a total
of 209,960 cases have been recorded since last year’s February.
In the last 24 hours 302 people have recovered from the infection, taking the total recoveries to 198,026, according to a report by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC via its official Facebook page late Thursday.
The number of active cases in the country further dropped by 65. Now stands at 9,084.
Of the total cases reported,
49 people were infected in Plateau, 46 in FCT, 29 in Kano, 27 in Lagos and 26 in
Kaduna.
Gombe also reported 14
cases, Bauchi, Cross River and Kwara had 11 cases each.
Nine cases were
recorded in Rivers, eight in Ondo, two cases each in Niger and Oyo-2, one case each
in Edo and Ekiti State.
While Imo and Sokoto
States reported no cases.
