    NCDC Announces Three More COVID-19 Deaths, 161 New Cases

    Nigeria health authority on Friday recorded three more deaths from the coronavirus outbreak as well as 161 new infections across 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

    There was a drop in the number of infections [161] reported on Friday compared to the number [281] reported Thursday .

    The new cases raised the total number of infections in the country to 205,926 and the total deaths toll now stands at 2,723.

    It added that the figure of discharged patients, which now stands at 193,798, includes 181 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, while 9,404 are still down with the illness.

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in an update on its official website indicated that Lagos once again topped the infection chart with 45 cases, followed closely by Kaduna with 32 cases and Ondo with 28 cases.

    Other states with their figures as follows Kwara-12, Rivers-11, Edo-8, Ekiti-5, Niger-5, Zamfara-5, Plateau-4, Nasarawa-3, FCT-2 and Oyo-1.

    Today’s report includes 0 cases recorded from Bauchi, Delta, Gombe, Kano, Ogun, Osun, and Sokoto states, NCDC added.
