The number of
confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria moved up to 207,616 on Saturday as another
137 Nigeria residents tested positive to the virus in 9 states and the Federal
Capital Territory, according to a report by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control
(NCDC).
The health officials reported
additional two COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, raising the total number
of deaths in country to 2,745.
NCDC also said a total
of 195,132 patients have recovered from the infection so far, including 80 recoveries
and discharges reported on Saturday.
Total active cases in
Nigeria now stands at 9,741 9,686 up by 55 from the previous day.
The breakdown of the
new cases as follows Lagos (46), FCT (35), Kaduna (20), Benue (13), Oyo (9),
Kano (6), Rivers (6), Ekiti (1) and Nasarawa (1)
