    Nigeria Reports Six Deaths, 182 New COVID-19 Cases

    Nigeria reported 182 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, bringing the active number of cases in the province to 5,774.

    Thirty-eight of the new cases that were recorded in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory are in Taraba, twenty-seven are in Lagos, twenty-five are in Zamfara and Benue recorded twenty-one cases.

    Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory had seventeen of the new cases, Gombe reported thirteen cases, Kaduna and Plateau reported twelve cases each.

    Five people were infected in Jigawa, three each in Kano and Rivers, two each in Abia and Edo. And Bauchi and Bayelsa reported one case each.

    The health officials noted that todays report includes 38 confirmed cases reported from Taraba state on 27th October 2021, and 19 discharged cases reported from Taraba state on 27th October 2021 are community discharges.

    Also said that 2 confirmed cases reported from Abia state on 27th October 2021

    Data released by the health officials showed that six patients died of coronavirus-related complications in the past 24 hours, while 82 new patients have been successfully treated and discharged.

    With the new cases, the tally in the nation climbed to 211,678. Of this,  203,012  patients have recovered from the disease. The death toll stands at 2,892, according to the data released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC's health bulletin.
