    Nigeria Reports Three Deaths, 120 New COVID-19 Cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC reported 120 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over a 24-hour period.

    Today’s case count comes after officials logged 182 cases on Thursday, 166 cases on Wednesday, 159 cases on Tuesday and 711 cases on Monday.

    According the report, three more patients died of coronavirus-related symptoms. The number of deaths of Nigerian residents related to COVID-19 is now 2,895.

    Another 77 people recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, resulting in 5,814 active cases across the nation.

    To date, there have been 211,798 lab-confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 203,089 recoveries since Feb. 2020.

    Data obtained from NCDC official Facebook page shows that the new cases were reported across 10 states  and the Federal Capital Territory.

    The breakdown as follows FCT-26, Imo-25, Lagos-23, Rivers-17, Osun-15, Kano-5, Gombe-3, Edo-2, Ekiti-2, Bayelsa-1 and Delta-1.

    NCDC stated that today’s report includes 21 community discharges discharged reported from Imo state on 29th October 2021.

    While Ogun, Ondo and Sokoto recorded no cases of the virus on Friday.
