Nigeria reported 141 new
COVID-19 cases in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory, according to
Wednesday’s data by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC.
NCDC added that 219
people were discharged in the past 24 hours, which 48 community discharges in
FCT on 23rd & 58 on 24th of Novenmber 2021.
While no patients was
confirmed to have died of COVID-19 complications.
As at today, there are
3,828 active cases in Nigeria — down from the previous day when it was at 3,906.
According to the
breakdown by NCDC via it official website, Lagos reported the highest number of
infections with 46 cases, while Benue reported 44 cases, FCT had 15 cases and Kastina
reported 12 cases.
Other states as follows
Bauchi-9, Kano-4, Delta-3, Enugu-2, Kwara-2, Rivers-2, Gombe-1 and Plateau-1.
NCDC added that Sokoto
is the only state with no COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday.
The West African country
has now registered 213,818 cases since the pandemic began, while the official
death toll has risen to 207,016 and 2,974 COVID-19 patients have recovered and
have been discharged.
The health official also
noted that Wednesday ’s report includes 46 confirmed cases reported in Lagos
state is for 23rd (16) & 24th (30) November 2021.
Forty-four confirmed
cases reported in Benue state are backlogs of 16th (17), 17th (4), 18th (5),
19th (2), 22nd (11), 23rd (1) & 24th (4) November 2021.
Fifteen confirmed
cases reported in FCT is for 23rd (10) & 24th (5) November 2021.
Nine confirmed cases
reported in Bauchi state is for 23rd (6) & 24th (3) November 2021.
Four confirmed case
reported for Kano state is for 23rd (1) & 24th (3) November 2021.
