    COVID-19: Nigeria Reports New 13 Cases

    Coronavirus latest as the Nigeria reports 13 new COVID-19 cases and zero death linked to the disease on Wednesday.

    The updates released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC on Wednesday, which indicates a significant decrease in the figure of newly confirmed cases, also confirmed that the new cases were recorded across 4 states of the federation.

    The breakdown of the data revealed that Rivers had 7 cases, Nasarawa reported 4 cases, Abia and Taraba reported 1 case each.

    NCDC added that 1 confirmed case reported in Taraba state are backlog of 9th February 2022.

    While Kano and Plateau reported no cases of the virus.

    NCDC stated also that 7 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the country after testing negative to COVID-19.

    With the latest figure, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Nigeria stood at 20,524 - up from 20,493 it was the two days ago.

    As of Wednesday, Nigeria has recorded 254,137 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, out of which 230,479 have been successfully treated and discharged and 3,141 people have lost their lives due to the deadly disease.
