Nigeria on Thursday reported additional 100
new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours with no death linked to the disease,
according to the figures released by the NCDC.
Nigeria's total death toll due to COVID-19 remains 3,136 and the cumulative number of infections since the start of the pandemic moved up to 253,505 the health officials said.
A reduction of 117 cases was recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. Currently, there are 20,476 COVID-19 active cases in Nigeria.
While the number of successfully treated and
recovered COVID-19 cases increased by 217 on Thursday, the total COVID-19 recoveries in the West Africa country
stands at 229,893.
NCDC added that the recoveries includes 158 community discharged cases in FCT on 3rd February and 16 community discharged cases in Imo State on 3rd February 2022.

handle shows that the new cases were reported in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Lagos, Yobe and FCT reported most of the new
cases on Thursday with 22, 18 and 15 cases respectively.
While Ogun and Osun reported seven cases each,
Oyo and Sokoto had six cases, Imo reported five cases and Kwara had four cases.
Bauchi and Edo on Thursday recorded three cases
each, Delta, Jigawa, Kano and Nasarawa reported one case each.
Ekiti, Ondo and Rivers States reported no cases
of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
NCDC noted that today’s report includes 3 confirmed cases reported in Bauchi State on 2nd February.
