This is a slight drop in case numbers from Monday's
87 infections.
The breakdown by NCDC via it official Twitter
handle shows that Lagos reported the highest figures with 38 cases, Rivers had 6
cases, FCT had 5 cases, Cross River had 4 cases and Oyo had 1 case.
The newly recorded infections raised the
country’s tally of confirmed cases to 255,244, according to the Nigeria Centre
for Disease Control NCDC.
It added that 10 people were discharged, while
no person was confirmed to have died of COVID-19 complications.
NCDC
added that the number of active COVID-19 cases in the country stands at 2,616 up
by 44 from 2,501 it was on Friday March 21, 2022.
NCDC stated that till date, 255,244 cases have
been confirmed, 249,486 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been
recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
NCDC noted that the report includes cumulative
data for 22nd and 23rd March 2022.
Its also stated that 11 states; Abia, Bauchi,
Delta, Ekiti, Kaduna, Kano, Nasarawa, Ondo, Ogun, Plateau, and Sokoto reported zero
cases.
