The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has advised travellers to arrive at the airport earlier than usual in anticipation of the opening of the newly constructed international terminal at the Murtala Mohammed Airport.

In a statement on its Twitter account on Monday morning, FAAN said “All travellers and airport users are advised to get to the airport earlier than usual, due to heightened security and logistics arrangements on ground.”

This advisory follows reports that President Muhammadu Buhari will be in Lagos on Tuesday to commission several key projects.

FAAN says it is alerting passengers and the public because there would be commissioning of a newly built terminal at the MMA on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

We learnt that President Buhari is coming to Lagos to commission the Dangote Fertiliser Plant and he is expected to have a facility tour of the Dangote TPA fertiliser plant as well as an inspection tour of the 650,000 BPO Oil refinery and 900,000 TPA Polypropylene Plant and the Lekki Deep seaport.
