    Nigeria Reports 28 New COVID-19 Infections Wednesday

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC has reported 28 new cases of COVID-19, with no deaths linked to the disease on Wednesday.

    Today's figures were higher than Tuesday’s when 10 fresh cases were logged in the country.

    In the same period, the country witnessed additional 48 new recoveries, which includes 36 community discharges reported in FCT.

    As many as 249,138  patients have recovered from the viral disease since the start of the pandemic, NCDC said.

    It also stated that Wednesday’s new cases were confirmed in 4 states and Federal Capital Territory.

    The health officials says 18 of those cases are in Lagos, 4 are in Kano, 3 in FCT, 2 in Rivers and 1 case in Kaduna state.

    Why three states reported zero cases: Delta, Nasarawa and Sokoto.

    It added that the 18 confirmed cases reported in Lagos state are for 1st (11) & 2nd (7) March 2022.

    According to the NCDC till date, a total of 254,598 cases have been confirmed, 249,138 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
