The overall deaths due to coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria remains at 3,142 after no patients lost their lives due to the viral infection in the last 48 hours.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC reported 91 new coronavirus cases in two days as the total cases registered in the country
since the outbreak of the pandemic move up to 255,092.
Meanwhile, a total of 249,457 Nigeria residents have recovered from the virus and
discharged from hospitals across the country, including 84 recoveries reported
on Wednesday. This includes 72 community discharges reported in FCT, NCDC said.
Active cases in Nigeria now stand at 2,493 —
up from March 14th case count when it was at 2,468.
NCDC stated that the new cases were reported
in 8 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Wednesday’s reports revealed that within a 48
hour period, Lagos, FCT and Ekiti reported 32, 24 and 22 cases respectively.
Whike Rivers had 6 cases, Delta and Jigawa reported
2 cases each, Kaduna, Oyo and Plateau reported 1 case each.
NCDC added that eight states; Abia, Bauchi,
Kano, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto reported zero cases.
