This was contained in a release made on
Saturday, signed by the university’s registrar, Magaret Idowu Omosule.
The statement read: “This is to inform
staff and students of the university that Management, at a meeting held today,
Saturday, 26th March, 2022, approved a two-week mid-semester break for students
beginning from Monday, 28th March, 2022.
“We wish students of the university an
enjoyable break.”
The university had since been rocked with
series of protests by a group of Ife indigenes who decried the non-appointment
of Ife indigene as the Vice Chancellor of the university.
The protest was, however, recently
suspended.
