Out of the 13 new cases confirmed by Nigeria
Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos recorded 6 infections.
The remaining seven cases was contributed by Kano,
Rivers States and the Federal Capital Territory with 3, 3 and 1 infections respectively.
NCDC added that Abia, Delta, Kaduna and Sokoto
States reported no cases.
No new death was recorded, according to the
health officials.
Since the country recorded its first cases in
February 2020, the NCDC has confirmed a total of 255,937 cases from the 5,152,011
tested so far as today.
Of the confirmed cases, 249,996 people who
tested positive for the disease have recovered and have been discharged, including
19 recoveries recorded on Saturday. While the nation’s death toll stands at 3,143.
The NCDC revealed that 2,798 cases were active
in various parts of the country.
It also noted that this report includes data
