MTV Movie & TV Awards: ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Leads With Seven Nominations

Spider-Man: No Way Home may not have received much recognition from the 2022 Oscars, but the Marvel blockbuster has topped the list of nominees for the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards with seven nods.

The second-most nominated project at the MTV celebration of film and TV is the HBO series Euphoria, with six nominations, followed by Warner Bros.’ The Batman, with four nods.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards has also added two new categories: best song and “Here for the Hookup.”

MTV also announced the nominations for the Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted — recognizing reality TV, talk shows and documentaries.

RuPaul’s Drag Race tops this year’s Unscripted nominees with four nods, followed by Selling Sunset and Summer House with three nominations each. The Unscripted awards have also added categories for best music documentary, best reality star, best reality romance and “Best Reality Return.”

While it was originally announced that the Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted ceremony would take place on Monday, June 6, the night after the MTV Movie & TV Awards, both shows will now take place as a one-night extravaganza on Sunday, June 5 at 8 p.m. live from Barker Hangar.

Fans can vote for their favorites across 26 gender-neutral categories at vote.mtv.com from now through May 18 at 6 pm ET.

Executive producers for both the MTV Movie & TV Awards and Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted are MTV’s Bruce Gillmer, Wendy Plaut and Vanessa Whitewolf and Den Of Thieves’ Jesse Ignjatovic and Barb Bialkowski.
