The remaining infections was contributed by three other states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The breakdown as follows Lagos-203 cases, FCT-17 cases, Rivers-14, Cross Rivers-12 and Kano-1 case.
While 6 states; Abia, Bauchi, Delta, Kaduna, Plateau and Sokoto reported zero cases.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, which stated this in an update on its Facebook page earlier on Saturday, noted that the new 247 cases reported in the country includes data for 21st - 24th June 2022.
It also said no new death was reported within the last 96 hours, keeping the fatality toll at 3,144.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Feb. 27, 2020 in Nigeria, a total of 256,958 cases has been confirmed out which 250,177 patients have recovered from the virus, NCDC data shows.
