This report includes data from 28th May to 1st
June, 2022, according to data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease
Control (NCDC).
The new figures put the country’s total
caseload at 256,113, with 250,060 cases discharged and 3,143 deaths.
The 85 new cases were reported from four
states and the Federal Capital Territory, with Lagos leading the pack, the epicentre
of the virus in Nigeria recorded 51 cases.
The Kano states in the North reported 20 cases,
Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory reported 6 cases, Kwara, the western states
reported 5 cases and Rivers, the Niger Delta region of southern Nigeria recorded
3 cases.
While six states; Abia, Cross River, Kaduna,
Plateau, and Sokoto reported zero cases, NCDC noted.
